Pupil Premium  FUNDING

‘Faith in Everyone to Shine Brightly’

Disadvantaged Learner Lead

Mrs Felicity Lambe

Mrs Lambe is the contact for parents of those children in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant and will be able to give you more information about how they are being supported in school.
Please feel free to phone the school to make an appointment (01793 770239).

What is Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils. More information can be found here: Pupil premium - GOV.UK

How will the school use Pupil Premium funding?

The DfE (Department for Education) require schools to publish the following information. This can be found in our Pupil Premium Strategy 2021-24 (see below) and details our strategy for the period 2021-24 including:

  • the amount of the school’s allocation of pupil premium grant
  • details of the main barriers to educational achievement
  • how the allocation will be spent to address the barriers and why these approaches were taken
  • how the school will measure the impact of the pupil premium
  • the date of the next pupil premium strategy review
  • how funding was spent in each academic year and the impact it had on eligible and other pupils.

Our ethos of ‘Faith in Everyone to Shine Brightly’ is underpinned by our belief that all children have the capacity to shine brightly in all they do. We intend that the opportunities provided through our Pupil Premium funding will enable children to develop a lifelong love of learning that leads to high aspirations enabling them to ‘shine brightly’ in all aspects of life, at school and beyond.
